PT89 is more than a betting website. We are a digital entertainment platform built on trust, transparency, and a commitment to delivering the best experience to every one of our members. Learn more about our journey, core values, and vision for the future.
PT89 was founded with one clear goal — to provide an online entertainment platform that truly understands the needs and preferences of Malaysian players. We recognised that many local players were dissatisfied with foreign platforms that were not user-friendly, slow in processing payments, and unable to offer an experience suited to the digital lifestyle of Malaysians today.
That is where PT89 began. We built this platform with a "Malaysia first" approach — meaning every design decision, game selection, payment method, and customer support feature was planned with the local player experience as the priority. The result is a digital entertainment ecosystem that feels made by Malaysians, for Malaysians.
Today, PT89 has grown into one of the most widely used online entertainment platforms in Malaysia, with hundreds of thousands of active members betting, playing Live Casino, enjoying slots, and engaging in a variety of other games through a single, easy-to-use integrated platform.

Every great platform begins with one bold first step. This is the story of pt89's journey from a small idea to an online entertainment platform trusted by hundreds of thousands of Malaysian players.
PT89 was founded by a group of technology and entertainment industry professionals who identified a significant gap in the Malaysian market — the lack of an online platform that truly understood the needs of local players. Platform development began with a primary focus on security and ease of use.
Pt89 officially launched with a curated selection of Live Casino and video slot games. Within the first six months, the platform attracted over 50,000 registered members — proving that the Malaysian market was ready for a more user-friendly platform that operates in the local language.
Recognising the high demand for sports betting and esports among younger Malaysian users, PT89 launched a full sports betting section — including live betting on the world's major football leagues and international esports tournaments such as Mobile Legends and Dota 2.
The PT89 mobile app for Android and iOS was launched, allowing members to enjoy all platform features from anywhere. The app received top ratings from users for its speed, stability, and user-friendly interface compared to other platforms in the market.
A historic milestone as pt89 reached 500,000 active registered members — making it one of the largest online entertainment platforms in Malaysia. pt89 also launched a tiered VIP membership programme and expanded its game provider network by adding over 300 new games.
Pt89 continues to invest in the latest technology to enhance the user experience — including a faster interface, a wider game selection, additional payment methods, and a stronger responsible gaming programme. The pt89 journey is far from over.
